I started photography in February 2002, with the help of a friend, who said a "manual" camera was needed to learn photography. Half a day and a few pints later I bought an Olympus OM1. After experimenting with a few of rolls of film, it was off to Rome to photograph some "Old Stuff".

One week and thirteen rolls of film later, I returned and after deciding that the best shot at the time was a night shot of a fountain, I began to develop an interest in night photography. A few books later... Well you can guess the rest.

I followed the OM1 up with an OM2 SP, an OM20, and finally an OM4, with about 8 or 9 lenses. A few costly breakages and a mechanical disaster shooting fireworks on the Thames, lead me in the direction of a newer camera. One "Wonderbrick" and a couple of new lenses later, I was back in business.

Along the way, I have experimented with my photography, firstly with the Canon 10D and now with the 5D I plan to experiment some more.

In September 2005, I submitted a panel to the Royal Photographic Society, and was awarded my Licentiateship.
